“Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

Are you feeling burdened today?

It’s easy to become burdened, carrying the weight of this world.

Maybe it’s from work, family, friends, illness.

It happens to us all.

In this verse Jesus says, “Come to Me”.

That’s the first thing we should do.

Because He promises that He will give you rest.

Speaking as a mom…

When our child is hurt, we say “come” so we can comfort them.

When they are misbehaving, we say “come” that we might teach them.

When we are going somewhere, we say “come” so we can direct them.

Sometimes we say “come” just to love on our child.

Jesus tells us to “come” to love on us, teach us, guide and direct us.

And I love that because He says “come”, He has gone before us!

That comforts me.

Jesus is leading the way!

Blessings on you and yours,

Kerry
